Sarah Benton Smith

Entered into eternal rest on the morning of December 29, 2010, Sarah Benton Smith, widow of William Henry Smith, Jr.  Residence, Ladson, South Carolina.  The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service Friday, December 31, 2010, at Harbor Light Baptist Church, at 11 am.  Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL this Thursday afternoon from 5 until 7 pm. 

Mrs. Smith was born August 29, 1909 in Walterboro, South Carolina, daughter of the late David and Hattie Nettles Benton.  She was a member of Harbor Light Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Lona M. Smith of Ladson, SC; five grandchildren, David H. Smith of Ridgeland, SC, Donald P. (Susan) of Rincon, GA, Brenda Branton of Dothan, AL, William B. Smith of Charlotte, NC, and Terri Gilbert of Oviedo, FL; five great grandchildren, Alex Smith of Hanahan, Sarah Berry of Cheyenne, WY, Samuel Smith of Portales, NM, Carey Vines of Guam, and John Goff of Charleston; three great great grandchildren, McKinsey Vines, David Smith and Wendy Smith.
