Sarah Elizabeth Chard Pelot

Sarah Elizabeth Chard Pelot, beloved daughter, mother, and sister, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 21, 2021. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday, April 26 at Christ Our King Catholic Church, 1149 Russell Drive, Mount Pleasant, SC. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Sarah, daughter of Richard David Chard and Deborah Chard Lockwood, was born in New York, NY on August 18, 1982 and raised in Mt. Pleasant, SC. She adored her two sons, Strider and Caleb Pelot, and enjoyed cooking and scrapbooking. Growing up, Sarah excelled at competitive swimming; she swam on the Snee Farm Swim Team for 10 years, earning numerous city championships. She was also a gymnastics and horseback riding enthusiast. Sarah studied Criminal Justice at Trident Technical College. Highly organized, she worked as a paralegal for nearly 18 years.

Sarah was kind, generous, and had a wonderful sense of humor. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Robert H. Lockwood; father and stepmother, Jane Bennett Chard; sons; brother, Jason Chard; sister, Anna Chard and brother-in-law Alfonso Hernandez; stepbrothers, David (Tripp) and Andrew (Drew) Bennett; grandfather, Alfred Marion Chard; and loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
