Sarah M. Milton, 96, formerly of Hanahan, widow of Jack Edward Milton entered into eternal rest Wednesday, March 22, 2023. Her Funeral Service will be held Sunday, March 26, 2023 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 2:00 pm.  Interment to follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm prior to the service.  

Sarah was born January 19, 1927 in Meridian, MS, daughter of the late Willie M. McAlister and the late Lydia Bernice Brewer McAlister.  Sarah retired from Highland Park Baptist as Church Secretary after 26 years.  

She is survived by two daughters, Lydia M. Hellams of Summerville, SC and Janice E. Strete (Steve) of Manning, SC; two grandchildren, Jason Stancil and Ali Young (Gerry); great-grandchildren: Justin Stancil, Jessica Stancil and Bella Young; step-grandson, Trae McElheny (Jill); two step-great-grandchildren, Margaret McElheny and Mac McElheny.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Edward Milton; son, Jesse Allen Milton, and sister, Deloris Pereria.
