Sarah Lyn Anderson Coon

Sarah Lyn Anderson Coon, 54, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Blaine C. Coon, entered into eternal rest at home after a brief illness Friday, July 5, 2024. Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2024 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 4:00 pm. The family will receive friends Wednesday, one hour prior to the service.

Lyn was born August 28, 1969 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late William Anderson, Sr. and Lelia Alice Bouknight Anderson. She was a graduate of Middleton High School class of 1987. Lyn was an avid gardener and lover of flowers who was always working on her picturesque landscape. She was a passionate fan of the movie, The Wizard of Oz, and collector of Oz memorabilia. Her faithful canine companion, Dorthy Gale was always nearby.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Courtney C. Gauthier (Frank); son, Brandon E. Coon (Juliette); four brothers, William A. Anderson (Amy), James T. Anderson, Joseph Gary Anderson, Steven E. Anderson (Sharon); sister, Linda A. McDevitt (John); eight grandchildren, Isabella, Anthony, Lily, Robert, Adeline, Magnolia, Maverick, Marigold; and numerous beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her brother, William F. Anderson, Jr.; sister, Alice Frances Anderson.
