Sarah Reeves Mathis Garner, 91, of North Charleston, SC, widow of Benn Ovid Mathis and Reginald Garner, died Wednesday, December 27, 2017. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 30, 2017 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 9:30 am. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends, Friday, December 29, 2017, in Stuhr Northwoods Chapel from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm.

Sarah Reeves was born July 14, 1926 in Charleston, SC, daughter of the late Herman Reeves and the late Mazie Smoak Reeves. She was a retired Executive Secretary at the Charleston Naval Hospital and a member of Highland Park Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Sarah "Candy" M. Adams of Charleston, SC and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Allen Kinard III, who was the love of her life.
