Sarah "Candy" Mathis Adams, 75, of West Ashley, SC, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 22, 2022. Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday, June 30, 2022 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends and accept calls beginning one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
 
Candy was born November 7, 1946 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Benn Mathis and Sarah Reeves Mathis. 
 
She is survived by her cousins, Meg Glass (William), Ellen Doyle, Cindy Vaughn, and Randy Reeves. In addition to her parents, Candy is preceded in death by her husband, Hiram "Dinky" C. Adams; and her son, Allen Kinard III.
