Sara Frances Brown, 68, of Hanahan, SC, died Wednesday, August 1, 2018. Her memorial service will be held Saturday, August 4, 2018 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 12:00 pm. The family will receive friends Saturday one hour prior to the service.

Sara was born August 2, 1949 in Louisville, GA, daughter of Ruel Morley Read and the late Florence McDaniel Read. She enjoyed playing and later coaching softball and painting. She was very family oriented, loved being a grandmother and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Roderick Martin Brown of Hanahan, SC; daughter, Sonya Brown Gore of Louisville, GA; son, Michael Brown and his wife Devon of Hanahan, SC; father and step mother, Ruel and Connie Read; two brothers, Bill Read and Danny Read; grandchildren: Allen, Sara Beth, Mitch and Anna; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by mother, Florence Read.
