Sandra Holcombe Turner, 76, of Amherst, Virginia, wife of Maxwell Reid Turner Jr., entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 7, 2022. Her graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Riverview Memorial Park, 3715 Azalea Dr., at 10:00 am. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel.

Sandra was born September 5, 1945 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Ladson Smith Holcombe and Hazel Brewer Holcombe. Lovingly known to her grandchildren as "Gran," Sandra was a beautiful, quiet, and unassuming woman of faith who loved the Lord, and supported the Lord's servants both locally and globally. She loved teaching and taught for over 35 years, and was respected and loved by many students. She could be competitive and loved playing board games with family. She also loved working in her flower garden, and really liked puzzles!

Throughout her life, she happily supported all of her children and grandchildren in all of their actives and interests. Whether it be playing a musical instrument, ballet, soccer, or basketball, Sandra never missed a game or performance!

In addition to her husband, Sandra is survived by her three children; Laura Almond (Leo), Blythe Roycroft (John), and Jonathan Turner (Courtney); and nine grandchildren, Heather Almond, Olivia Almond, McKayla Almond, Julia Roycroft, Scott Turner, Jet Turner, Emmaline Turner, Aiden Turner, and Beck Turner.

Memorial donations may be made in Sandra's honor to Shepherd's Theological Seminary, 6051 Tryon Rd., Cary, NC 27518.
