Sandra Friday Kelley

Sandra Friday Kelley, 73, of Goose Creek, SC, died Thursday, November 5, 2015. Her memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 10, 2015 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends Tuesday one hour prior to the service.

Sandra was born August 6, 1942 in Birmingham, AL, daughter of Grady Hubert Friday and Mary Alma Smith Friday. She graduated from Greene County High School and attended University of Hawaii. She was a US Navy veteran. Sandra worked at the Bank of Hawaii, First State Bank of Tuscaloosa and as a medical clerk in Civil Service for 24 years. She was a former member of First Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa, AL and First Southern Baptist in Honolulu, HI. Sandra enjoyed cooking, walking her dog and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, David Tyrone Kelley of Goose Creek, SC; son, David K. Kelley and his wife Valerie Truelove-Kelley of Goose Creek, SC; daughter, Kimberly Kelley Blackburn and her husband Paul of Lexington, SC; brother, Grady Hubert Friday, Jr. (Jane) of Tuscaloosa, AL; two sisters, Rita Jansen (Ken) of Fairhope, AL and Harriet Hamilton of Tuscaloosa, AL; two grandchildren, Wesley Paul Blackburn and William Ty Blackburn; nieces and nephews and her beloved lab, "Buddy".
