Sandra Grimes Bunch

Sandra Grimes Bunch, 80, of Hanahan, SC, wife of Woodrow "Woody" W. Bunch entered into eternal rest Monday, December 20, 2021. Her Funeral Service will be held Sunday, December 26, 2021 at the Messiah Lutheran Church, 1106 Yeamans Hall Road at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel.

Sandra was born April 24, 1941 in Charleston, SC, daughter of the late Charles Wilson Grimes and the late Roberta Mae Platt Shealy. She was a graduate of Chicora High School and over the years she worked for the Charleston Naval Shipyard, Hanahan News and Midland Park United Methodist Church. She also served as the treasurer of Messiah Lutheran Church for over 20 years. Sandra loved doing crafts, pulled for the Atlanta Braves, Clemson Tigers and the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers. She was a devoted wife, fantastic mother, and homemaker.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Woodrow "Woody" Bunch of Hanahan, SC; son, Woodrow "Woody" W. Bunch, Jr. of Hanahan, SC; daughter, Michelle Malone (Shawn) of Summerton, SC; two grandchildren, Erin Malone and Lily Malone; special family friend, Chelsey W. Brown of Moncks Corner, SC; sister, Delores Ann Cannon (Neil) of Goose Creek, SC.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Charles W. Grimes, Jr. and her nephew, Timothy A. Cannon.
