Samuel James Wright, 79, husband of the late Eula Mae Benton Wright of Mt. Pleasant, SC passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2012. The relatives and friends of Samuel Wright are invited to attend his Funeral Service at the graveside in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. The family will greet friends at the graveside following the service.

Mr. Wright was born on October 21, 1932 in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, son of the late John D. Wright and Bertha West Wright. He was adopted and raised by Levy and Emma Thomas of Cordesville, SC. He worked in the construction industry.

He is survived by his step-son, Gilbert L. Hardee and his wife, Rosemary, of Ravenel, SC; step-daughter, Alice Gillespie of Missouri; several nieces and nephews; a special niece, Kay Brandon and her husband, Johnny, of Georgetown, SC; brother, Lawrence Wright of Columbia, SC and sister, Becky Kay of West Pelzer, SC. Mr. Wright is also survived by a very special friend, Michael Johnson of Mt. Pleasant, SC.
