Samuel Thomas Helmick

Entered into eternal rest on the evening of January 29, 2011, Samuel Thomas Helmick, husband of Peggy Vickers Helmick of North Charleston, SC.  The relatives and friends of Mr. & Mrs. Samuel T. Helmick are invited to attend his funeral service in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, Tuesday, February 1, 2011, at 2:00 pm.  Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel on Monday, between 6:00 and 8:00 pm.

Mr. Helmick was born on September 29, 1937 in Augusta County, Virginia; the son of Sherman Taft Helmick and Gladys Lillian Ogg Helmick.  He was a veteran of the US Navy and a retired machinist from the Charleston Naval Shipyard.   He was a member of Riverview Baptist Church, Charleston.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Peggy of North Charleston, SC; son, Samuel T. Helmick, Jr. of North Charleston; daughter, Teresa Ann Beutler of Summerville; grandson, Christopher Lee Helmick; sister: Mary Harlow of West Point, VA and brother, Johnny Wagner of Baltimore, MD.
