Samuel Jason Garrett, 67, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Mildred Jane Garrett entered into eternal rest Tuesday, August 9, 2022. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 20, 2022, in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 11:00 am.  Interment to follow at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday, August 19, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.

Sam was born Aug 17, 1954, in Jacksonville FL son of the late Yancy Jason Garrett and Pauline Fox Garrett. He began his career at Fruehauf trailer co in Jacksonville Fla. as a welder and driver. He later moved to Chas. SC. And began working at Moran Environmental Recovery. He loved canoeing, camping and most of all boating and fishing. He never met an animal he didn't love, he was always adopting strays and hanging out at the dog park. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and always having a story to share. He was always ready to play a game of cribbage or Bocce as well as tennis. He loved Jesus and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of James Island SC.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 14 years, Jane Garrett; sister, Jacquelyn Garrett McDowell; nephew, Bryan Keith Garrett (Cindy); two nieces, Julie Garrett Blair (Bruce), Jeni Garrett Flint (Chris); and two great-nieces, Codi Maynard (Lenny), and Leena Chance (Austin). His brother Jinks McGinnis Garrett preceded him in death.
