Samuel Daniel Causey

Samuel "Sam" Daniel Causey, 94, husband of the late Myrtle Gertrude Jackson Causey of Mt. Pleasant, SC passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2011.

  The relatives and friends of Sam D. Causey are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Saturday, August 6, 2011 in First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant, 681 McCants Drive, at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be held privately. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 5, 2011 in J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. 

Sam was born on November 20, 1916 in Bonneau, SC, the son of the late Henry Owen Causey and Dice Elizabeth Mitchum Causey. He served in the United States Army and retired as a lineman with South Carolina Electric and Gas Company.  He attended the First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant. 

He is survived by his son, Larry Daniel "Danny" Causey and his wife, Peggy, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; one daughter, Betty Ann Lemons, and her husband, Joe, of Sugar Hill, GA; one sister, Sadie Harmon of Cainhoy, SC; four grandchildren, Michael Causey, Donnie Causey and his wife, Leslie, Michael Lemons and Terry Lemons; and five great grandchildren, Zack and Aaron Causey, Wesley, Matthew and Taylor Lemons. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Charleston Foundation, 676 Wando Park Blvd., Mt. Pleasant, SC  29464 or First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant, 681 McCants Drive, Mt. Pleasant, SC  29464.
