Sally Magdalene Connolly Moran, 85, of Charleston, SC, widow of John Patrick Moran entered into eternal rest Monday, September 8, 2014. Her Funeral Service will be held at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Thursday, September 11 at 10:00 a.m. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.

Sally was born October 15, 1928 in Scranton, PA, daughter of John Joseph and Sadie Conner Connolly. She was a retired nursing instructor, administrator and published author. Sally was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and co-founder of Magdalene House.

She is survived by her sons, Gerard J. Moran and George E. Holt both of Charleston, SC; daughters Celia M. Blumm and husband Robert M. Blumm of Amityville, NY and Mary Moran of Charleston, SC; two grandchildren, Matthew Sean Blumm and wife Amber Blumm and Kristin Mary Auerbach and husband Peter J. Auerbach, both of New York, NY; and two great-grandchildren, Luke David Blumm and Samantha Grace Blumm.
