Sallie Holian Smith

Sallie Holian Smith, 67, of Waterbury, CT, wife of Michael Smith, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. A celebration of Sallie's life will take place on a future date. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel.

Sallie was born November 7, 1956 in Waterbury, Connecticut, daughter of the late John Joseph Holian and Kathleen Heffernan McGough Holian. Sallie enjoyed reading, writing, traveling, and especially enjoyed watching the Red Sox. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband of 33 years, Sallie is survived by her children, Jason Voisine of Dana Pointe, CA, Brandie Vilanova (Zack) of West Hartford, CT, Amy Gousse (Ryan) of Southington, CT, and Destinee Smith of Southington, CT; grandchildren, Leila Vilanova, Mason Gousse, Kyley Smith, and Arlo Gousse; siblings, Cathy Tomlinson of WV, Joseph Holian (Susan) of MD, Mary Weiss (Thomas) of CT, and Jo Ann Fitzgerald (Steven) of CT; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and a world of friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Holian; and brother-in-law, Tom Tomlinson.

Memorial donations can be made in Sallie's memory to the Ronald McDonald House or to the American Heart Association.
