Rutherford Sherwood Green Jr.

Rutherford Sherwood Green, Jr, 82, formerly of Johns Island, South Carolina entered into eternal rest Wednesday, February 8 in Thailand. His Funeral Service will be held graveside at Magnolia Cemetery on Monday, May 8 at 3:00 pm. He is survived by his wife Laksami P. Green of Thailand and daughter Larupa Green of Maryland.

Rutherford was born July 12, 1940 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Rutherford Sherwood Green and Margaret Sanders Green.  He graduated from St. Andrews High School and attended the Citadel and the College of Charleston. Rutherford was retired from China Hall which his family owned for several generations. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. He loved living on the Bohicket Creek where he enjoyed shrimping and crabbing from his dock. Rutherford was in every way a southern gentleman.
