Ruth Davis Veronee, 91, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Robert Cornelius Veronee, Sr. entered into eternal rest Thursday, April 14, 2016. Her Funeral Service will be held Sunday, April 17, 2016 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, at 2:00 p.m. Interment following will be in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Ruth was born August 29, 1924 in Ravenel, SC, daughter of the late Jesse Miles Davis and Mary Elizabeth Doyle Davis. She was a retired construction bookkeeper and a member of Women in Construction. She was a devoted member of Pinecrest Baptist Church.

She is survived by three daughters: Karan V. Chartrand (John) of Charleston, SC, Catherine V. Chartrand (Arthur) of Lexington, SC, and Angela V. Freeman of Charleston, SC; two sons: Robert C. Veronee, Jr. (Betsy) of Charleston, SC and Stephen A. Veronee of Summerville, SC; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruth was predeceased by her daughter, Mary Theresa Veronee Brown and son, Reverend David M. Veronee.
