Ruth Baker Silverman, 99, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina (formerly Sullivan's Island), widow of Dr. Sidney Seth Silverman entered into eternal rest Sunday, January 28, 2018. Her funeral service will be held graveside Wednesday, January 31, 2018 in Emanu-El Cemetery (Maryville), Sycamore Street, Charleston at 3:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.

Ruth was born April 24, 1918 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Morris Baker and Rebecca Logan Baker. She was a member of Synagogue Emanu-El.

Ruth is survived by her daughters: Susan S. Cantor (Lowell) of Mount Pleasant, SC and Carol S. Loewy (Joseph) of Santa Fe, NM; four grandchildren: Debbie Rothschild (Greg), David Cantor (Katharyn), Dr. Rachel Loewy (Vince Mellone), Alan Loewy (Jennifer) and six great-grandchildren.
