Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of Friday, May 11, 2012, Ruth Elise Ramsey, 88, widow of Harold Lee Ramsey of Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Ruth Ramsey are invited to attend her funeral service on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in J.HENRY STUHR, INC. WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway. Interment to follow in Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 14, 2012 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. in Stuhr's, West Ashley Chapel.

Ruth was born February 16, 1924 in Charleston, SC. She was the daughter of the late James R. Browning and the late Naomi Wittschen Pessier, and a devoted stepfather, William Pessier. Ruth was a loving wife and mother.

Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Ramsey King and her husband Jerry of Charleston, SC; two sisters, Chrystal Rayburn and Betty Hill of Charleston, SC; two granddaughters, Renee King Mercado and Tina King of Charleston, SC; one very special great grandson, Evan K. Mercado.
