Ruth Stivender Nolte, 89, of Charleston, SC, widow of Frederick Carl Nolte, Sr. entered into eternal rest Friday, November 15, 2019. Her graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 19, 2019 in Bethany Cemetery, Charleston, SC at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel.
Ruth was born July 3, 1930 in Sebring, FL, daughter of the late Raymond C. Stivender, Sr. and the late Lucille Shuler Stivender. She retired as a budget analyst from the Charleston Naval Shipyard.
She is survived by two sons, Rick Nolte (Wei-Ping) of Denver, CO, Robert Nolte, Sr. (Belinda) of Charleston, SC; six Grandchildren, Tina, Amber, Ariel, Christina and Robert Nolte, Jr. and Edward Brogan (Allie).
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister and her brother in law, Lois McLaughlin (James); brothers and sisters in law, Raymond "Bubba" Stivender (Marie), Milton "Shorty" Stivender (Betty) and Elton "Speedy" Stivender (Shirley).
