Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 18, 2012, Ruth Pauline Mixson McConnell, widow of Marion Mack McConnell of Summerville, SC. The relatives and friends of Mrs. Ruth McConnell are invited to attend her funeral service in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, Sunday, April 22, 2012 at 2 pm. Interment, Carolina Memorial Park. Friends may call at Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel on Saturday between 6:00 and 8:00 pm.

Ruth was born on January 18, 1921 in Bonneau, SC, the daughter of Joseph Albert Mixson and Caroline Carrie Gatlin. Ruth was a graduate of North Charleston High School. She was a member of Summerville Church of God and taught Sunday School for many years. Ruth was very devoted to her family and friends and known as a "Prayer Warrior."

She is survived by her daughters, Paulette "Polly" Coker and her husband, Ben of Moncks Corner, SC; Faye McConnell Warren of Ladson, SC; four grandchildren; Maj. Mack R. Coker, USAF, and his wife Carmen of Cambridge, England, Stacy N. Coker of Cullowhee, NC, Cortney A. Warren of Ladson, SC and Chad M. Warren of Summerville, SC; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Ruth is predeceased by four brothers, two sisters and an infant sibling.
