Ruth Margaret Ham, 96, of Charleston, SC, widow of Wilson A. Ham, Sr. died Tuesday, March 1, 2016. Her funeral service will be held Friday, March 4, 2016 in Advent Lutheran Church, 3347 Rivers Avenue at 11:00 am. Interment, Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in Advent Lutheran Church. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., North Area Chapel.
Ruth was born November 29, 1919 in Charleston, SC, daughter of the late Clarence Eugene Roberts and Louise Young Roberts. She was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, Charleston Orphanage House, Den Mother for Advent Lutheran Church, Ashley Bowling League, life member of Women of The Church and DORCAS. She was a member of Advent Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Margaret H. Harken of Charleston, SC; two sons, Wilson A. Ham, Jr. (Snookie) of Moncks Corner, SC and Clarence A. Ham (Linda) of Charleston, SC; nine grandchildren: Tracey H. Riley (Vince), Angela H. Newbold (Ron), Wilson A. Ham III (Julie), H. Dallas Harken III (Whitney), Barbara Taylor (John), Kathryn Heinsohn (Chuck), Carrie H. Mayes (Jay), William A. Ham (Beth) and David A. Ham; 13 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Ruth Ham and brother, Clarence E. Roberts.
