Ruth Schleppegrell Fagerstrom

Ruth Schleppegrell Fagerstrom, 89, of Charleston, SC widow of the late Robert Allen Fagerstrom entered into eternal rest Monday, September 15, 2014. Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday, September 18, 2014 in Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1605 Harbor View Road at 1:00 p.m. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.

Ruth was born May 29, 1925 in Charleston, SC, daughter of John A. Christian Julius Schleppegrell and Phoebe Hernandez Schleppegrell. She was a graduate of Memminger High School, a member of the Charleston Rifle Club Auxiliary, American Legion Post 147 Auxiliary, and the Charleston Does Drove #231. She was also a member of Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church.She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Jean Fagerstrom of Ravenel, SC and Adelaide D. McKeithan of Charleston, SC; son, Robert A. Fagerstrom, Jr. of Charleston, SC; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Ruby Stuart and Susie Detyens and brothers, Charlie and Raymond Schleppegrell.
