Ruth Chattman Bohannon

Ruth Chattman Bohannon, 63, of Summerville, South Carolina, wife of Richard Coleman Bohannon entered into eternal rest Thursday, June 13, 2024. Her Funeral Service will be held Monday, June 24, 2024 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 10:00 am until the time of service. 

Ruth was born July 7, 1960 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Jessie James Chattman and the late Mildred Grasty Chattman. She loved collecting antiques and Elvis memorabilia. Ruth loved helping other and was always very generous. She supported the veterans, especially via the VFW. 

Ruth will be deeply missed by her husband of 34 years, Richard. She is survived by her children: Christina Bohannon (Michael Tidwell), Christopher Bohannon, and Richard Bohannon all of Summerville; sister, Candy Ryan of North Charleston; and many loved cousins, nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.
