Ruth "Gerry" BlackmonRuth "Gerry" Blackmon, 85, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, widow of Carlyle L. Blackmon, Jr., entered into eternal rest Wednesday, October 3, 2012. Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 5, 2012 in the Lutheran Church Of The Redeemer at 11:00 am. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in Lutheran Church Of The Redeemer. Gerry was born April 26, 1927 in Concord, North Carolina, daughter of Leander Maylon Lowder and Mary Cline Lowder. She was a retired Pharmacy Tech and member of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer.She is survived by her son, Carlyle "Sandy" Blackmon, III and wife Meri of Branchville, SC; a granddaughter, Ann Hill of Daniel Island, SC; and 2 great grandchildren, Katie and Tanner Hill.Memorials may be made to Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 714 Riverdale Drive, Charleston, SC 29407.
