Russell DuPuis, Sr.

October 5, 1925 — June 21, 2012

Russell C. DuPuis, Sr., went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 21, 2012. Russell was born October 5, 1925 the son of Harold and Mervel DuPuis. He served in the U.S. Maritime Service during World War II. He was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church. He was married to the love of his life Millie for 61 years. Russell was blessed to retire from South Carolina and Electric and Gas at a very early age. He enjoyed playing pool with his good friend Jim and fishing with his good friends Ralph, J.H., David, Fred and Crosby. Later on he took up golfing with his son, nephews and good friends. Russell enjoyed life and loved nothing more than to tell a good story or joke and making people laugh. He was a faithful and devoted husband, father, and friend to all that loved him. They have all gathered at the river in Heaven.

He is survived by his son, Dr. Creig DuPuis and his wife Amelia, his daughter, Gayle DuPuis, granddaughter, Lori Mooney and her family Scott, Noah, and Sarah; grandson, Russ DuPuis; many nephews and nieces that he considered his own; and his older brother and best friend Leon DuPuis.
