Ruby Bradley Martin Bonner Rooke of North Charleston, SC entered into eternal rest on December 1, 2012, widow of Lonzie M. Martin, O. Carroll Bonner and Charles A. Rooke, Sr. The family will receive friends in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, Sunday from 5:00 until 7:00 pm and again in Christ's Sanctified Holy Church in Perry, GA on Monday, December 3, 2012, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 4, 2012, in Christ's Sanctified Holy Church, Perry, GA at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in the Churchyard.
Ruby was born October 13, 1915 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the daughter of the late George Edward Bradley and Annie Wynn Bradley Nelson and her beloved lifetime mother, Della Carr Bradley. Ruby's hobby was floral gardening. She was a member of Christ's Sanctified Holy Church in Perry, GA, a former Sunday School teacher for 30 years and a member of the Ladies Prayer Circle.
She is survived by her son, G. Curtis Martin (Emily) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; half-sister, Velma Millard Johnson (Burl) of Chattanooga, TN; three granddaughters, Tammy M. Barnes (Donnie), Tracy M. Rogers (Scott) and Wendy M. Collier (Chris), all of Raleigh, NC; step-granddaughter, Cheri Mahaffey (Mike) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; step-grandson, Marty Chandler (Darleen) of Hanahan. SC; nine great-grandchildren, Tiffany B. Brush (Corey), Tyler M. Barnes, Lucas J. Barnes, Ethan Rogers, Victoria Rogers, Thomas Rogers, Griffin Collier, Jessie Collier and Casher Collier; three step-great-grandchildren, Chandler Mahaffey, Trace Chandler and Taylor Grace Mahaffey. Ruby was predeceased by her son, Franklin Lamar Martin.
