Roy (Byron) Leroy Welter, Jr., 64, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Friday, March 3, 2017.
A brief Memorial and causal gathering will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at 4 pm at the home of the Barkowitz , a Loving Family Roy inherited many years ago. Please come and join us with your joyful Memories (verbal or written), light food, beverages and Roy's favorite music.

Roy was born October 22, 1952 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Byron Leroy Welter and Helen Fiddie Welter. He was a 1970 graduate of St. Andrews Parish High School, West of the Ashley. He was a self-employed carpenter.
He is survived by his two daughters, Angela Welter Gatgounis of North Charleston, SC; and Allison Welter Crisp (Will) of Charleston, SC; sister, Diane Welter Till (Jimmy) of Summerville, SC; three grandchildren: Hunter, Sam, and Riley; nephew, Jamie Till (PJ) of Summerville, SC; three grand nieces; and best friend and companion, Linda Collins. Also; his dear friend, Kelly Schonhut. Roy is additionally survived by his MOST BELOVED DOG, Ashley.
