Rosemary Ward

Rosemary Ward, 86, of Charleston, SC, passed away on the afternoon of Saturday, September 3, 2011, surrounded by her loved ones in a local hospice center.  Family and friends of Rosemary are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 10:30 am in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, James Island.  Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL.

Rosemary was born on March 28, 1925 in Savannah, Georgia, daughter of the late Clifford Ward and Florence Clayton Ward.  Miss Ward retired as a bookkeeper with F.W. Woolworth and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Charleston. 

Rosemary is survived by her sister, Myrtis Workman of Charleston, SC, two nieces, Pamela W. Bush of Cudjoe Key, FL and Sheryl Benton of Charleston; two great nieces, Jessica Bush and Terri Halter both of Charleston; two great nephews, Jamie Benton of Simpsonville, SC and Jared Bush of Charleston.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Charleston Foundation, 676 Wando Park Boulevard, Mt. Pleasant, SC  29464.
