Rosemary Anne Corley, 80, of Johns Island, SC, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 15, 2021. Her funeral service will be held at the graveside on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 in Holy Cross Cemetery, 604 Fort Johnson Road at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 20, 2021, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel.

Rosemary was born November 29, 1940 in Charleston, SC, a daughter of the late Earnest Luther Corley and Mary Brown Corley. Rosemary graduated from St. Johns High School in 1959 and graduated from the College of Charleston in 1963 with her Bachelor's of Science in Education. A few years later she received her Master's in Reading Education from The Citadel. Rosemary taught hundreds of children over a 30 year span as an elementary educator, where most of those years were at Oakland Elementary.

Asbury-St. James United Methodist Church was the church Rosemary's family attended when she was born, and she continued to serve there after retirement where she taught children's Sunday School.

She is survived by her brother, Luther Corley; niece, Baylor (Todd) Bennett; nephew, Barton (Ashley) Corley; and many cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Charleston Animal Society.
