Rosemarie A. Zomer

Rosemarie A. Zomer, 78, of Hanahan, SC, wife of John "Jack" F. Zomer, died Saturday, December 3, 2016 peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Her Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 9, 2016 in the Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, 1106 Fort Drive, Hanahan, SC 29410 at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends Friday from 9:30 am to 10:30 am in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road, North Charleston, SC 29406.

Rosemarie was born May 31, 1938 in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late Henry R. Colyar and the late Catherine O'Connor Colyar. She had worked at the Marriott Hotel and also provided bookkeeping services. Rosemarie was a member of Divine Redeemer Catholic Church.She was a loving spouse, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Rose never met a stranger and was always so welcoming. Rose's mind was extraordinary and she always remembered every life moment. Rose always wanted to know about you and to "just sit down and talk to me dear".

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jack F. Zomer of Hanahan, SC; six children: John G. Zomer (Debra) of Yorba Linda, CA, Rosemarie Lawless (Robert J.) of Hanahan, SC, Kenneth J. Zomer (Cathy) of Hanahan, SC, Dolores "Lori" Johnson (Mike) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Patrick W. Zomer (Kimberly J.) of Ellenton, FL, Valerie C. Barrineau (Scott) of Hanahan, SC; two brothers, Joseph Colyar of Richboro, PA and John Colyar of Abington, PA; grandchildren: Randall, Robert, Kristen, Erica, Caroline, Jamie, Anna, Jackson, Sarah, Daniel, Nicholas and Glen; five great-grandchildren: Aiden, Eli, Noah, Chloe and Emerson. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Zomer; brothers, Harry Colyar and Raymond Colyar and her sisters, Catherine Rodgers and Dolores Charpentier.
