Rosemarie Battaglia, 63, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of Michael Battaglia died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, January 8, 2019. Her Funeral Mass will be held at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, 1204 Middle Street, Sullivan's Island on Saturday, January 19 at 1pm. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will be private. The family will receive friends at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., 1494 Mathis Ferry Road on Friday, January 18 from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. Tributes will be made at 6:00 pm.
Rosemarie was born December 13, 1955 in Rockville Centre, New York, daughter of the late Vincent Siciliano and the late Evelyn Hildebrandt Siciliano. She graduated with a Masters in Nursing from Loyola University Chicago. She was dedicated to her family, nursing, and helping others for +40 years. She was a well-respected, accomplished Nurse Manager responsible for all of the Pediatric Ambulatory Care Clinics at the Medical University of South Carolina. She was also a faithful member of Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Battaglia of Mt. Pleasant, SC; three daughters, Carolyn Lindstrom (Randall) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Jennifer Waterhouse (William) of Charleston, SC and Lindsay Propst (Brian) of Atlanta, GA; two grandchildren, Camden and Peyton Lindstrom.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to MUSC Children's Hospital (59 Bee Street, MSC 201 Charleston, SC 29425) and Stella Maris Catholic Church (PO Box 280 Sullivan's Island, SC 29482) in honor of Rosemarie Battaglia.
