Rose Nguyen Durden

Entered into eternal rest on the evening of June 18, 2011, Rose Nguyen Durden, widow of William Herbert Durden.  Residence, Charleston, SC.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, 405 King St., Thursday, June 23, 2011, at 11:00 am.  Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the home of Nancy C. G. Snowden, 65 Society Street, Charleston, Wednesday between 7:00 and 8:30 pm.

Rose was born June 19, 1947 in My Tho, Vietnam.  She was the former executive chef and co-owner of Carolina's Restaurant and a partner in Carolina Rose Catering. 

She is survived by two daughters, Janice Elaine Durden and Elizabeth Durden Lotz and her husband, Michael Warnick Lotz; a son, Mikel Herbert Durden and his wife, Anita Durden; three grandchildren, Taylor Delaney Durden,William Landon Lotz, and Amelia Rose Lotz all of Charleston; and her father-in-law, Herbert B. Durden.  She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Eloise Berry Durden.
