Rosamond Cleave Ham, 97, of Lexington, Kentucky, widow of Willburt Dunn Ham entered into eternal rest Monday, December 22, 2014. The family will receive friends Friday, December 26, 2014 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Downtown Chapel, from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 3, 2015, handled by Milward Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Lexington, KY. Burial following will be in Lexington Cemetery.
Rosamond was born December 13, 1917 in Ottawa, Illinois, daughter of Scott William Cleave and Mabel Haines Cleave. She was an alumna of the University of Illinois, where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority. Rosamond was a devoted mother and wife, and her passion throughout her life was her family. She was a member of the Kentucky State Chapter of the P.E.O. philanthropic organization, the Lexington, KY Woman's Club and the Lexington, KY Garden Club.
She is survived by her two sons, Scott Haines Ham of Lexington, KY and Walloon Lake, MI, and Forrest Cleave Ham, M.D., and his wife, Elizabeth, of Charleston, SC; a granddaughter, Katherine Haines Ham of Charleston, SC; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Scott William Cleave and Forrest Haines Cleave.
