Ronald King Summers

Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of June 8, 2011, Ronald King Summers, husband of Patsy Ruble Summers.  Residence, Hollywood, South Carolina.  The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Ron Summers are invited to attend his memorial service in Ravenel United Methodist Church, Sunday, June 19, 2011 at 10 am.  Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL. 

Ron was born on June 13, 1937 in Bluefield, Virginia, a son of John Alexander Summers and Annabelle Scott Summers.  He attended Bluefield College and was a retired Pharmaceutical Representative of 35 years with Cardinal Health.  Ron was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church and also attended Ravenel United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife Patsy of 53 years; his mother, Annabelle Summers of Bluefield VA; a son, William M. "Bill" Summers of Hollywood; a grandson, Alexander McKinley "Alex" Summers of Hollywood; two brothers, Thomas Summers and his wife Shirley of Roanoke, VA, John Kenneth Summers and his wife June of Waynesville, NC; several nieces and nephews; and also survived by Mrs. Summers' sister and brother-in-law, Juanita Ruble Marrs and Bill Marrs of Bluefield, VA.  He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Elayne Tiller.

The family has requested that memorials be made to Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 5412 Hwy. 165, Hollywood, SC  29449 or Ravenel United Methodist Church, c/o 5736 Gadsden Street, Ravenel, SC 29470.
