Ronald Lee Miller

Dr. Ronald Lee Miller, 81, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Janice Walter Miller entered into eternal rest Monday, January 22, 2018. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 24, 2018 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. His Funeral Service will be held Thursday, January 25, 2018 in Ashley River Baptist Church, 1101 Savannah Hwy, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens.

Ron was a loving husband, father, neighbor, and friend. He retired from MUSC after 32 years as a professor and researcher. He obtained a patent for his work with slug lectin which is being used in cancer research.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Janice Miller of Charleston, SC; four daughters, Elaine Sillivant (Stan) of Huntsville, AL, Vickie Musgrove (Clinton) of Columbia, SC, Lisa LeNoir (Bub) of St. Johns, FL, Cindy Smith (Cole) of Clemson, SC; 19 grandchildren and one great grandson; one brother and three sisters.
