Ronald F. Green, 71, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Carmeletta Cable Green entered into eternal rest Sunday, November 26, 2023. His graveside service with military honors will be held Monday, December 4, 2023, in the McClellanville Cemetery, 1011 Old Cemetery Road at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends Monday from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel.  

Ron was born February 8, 1952, in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Floyd Tillman Green and the late Beulah Louise Fort Green. After graduating from Clemson University, he served in the United States Army as a Captain. He dedicated his life to education as Professor and Associate Dean for the College of Business at East Tennessee State University, Dean of the Scott College of Business at Indiana State, and finally retired after serving as Dean of the Baker School of Business at The Citadel.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Carmon Green; children Sara Green Williams (John) and Joseph Hebert (Kathleen); and three grandchildren, Jackson Hebert, Ty Williams, and Taj Williams. 

Ron was a man of God, dedicated to his family and adored by his friends.  He enjoyed playing golf with his son-in-law and friends, watching the Clemson Tigers with his daughter, telling funny stories, and giving advice to his grandsons and drinking coffee in the sunroom with his wife.  He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
