Roger Allen Igoe

Roger Allen Igoe, 77, of Sullivans Island, South Carolina, husband of Martha Jones Igoe passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2014. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, 1204 Middle Street, Sullivans Island on Monday, February 10, 2014. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Huguenin Avenue. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 9, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, with the Holy Rosary recited at 5:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.

Roger was born July 1, 1936 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late James Roger Igoe and Juanita Greenhill Igoe. A graduate of The Citadel, Class of 1960, he was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Roger was a retired engineer with Lockheed Corporation and was an active parishioner at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church. He also enjoyed his membership in the East Cooper Outboard Motor Club

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Martha Jones Igoe; his children, Dorothea Igoe, James Roger Igoe of Charleston, SC, Kimberly Prescott and her husband, Mark of Goose Creek, SC, and Jennifer Condon Rogers of Mount Pleasant, SC; his grandchildren, Justin Aldredge, William Prescott, Tyler Prescott, and Noah Rogers; and his sister Donna Geary, and her husband, Hollis of Hanahan, SC.
