Roger Armstrong Evans

Roger Armstrong Evans, 79, husband of Carol H. Evans of Mt. Pleasant, SC passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2011.

The relatives and friends of Roger Evans are invited to attend his Memorial Service on Friday, October 21, 2011 in the First United Methodist Church, 12  21^st Avenue, Isle of Palms at 4:00 pm.  Burial will be private.  Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.  The family will receive friends at the church following the service. 

Mr. Evans was born on May 21, 1932 in Flushing, New York, son of the late James Harold Evans and Ruth Roberts Evans.  He served in the United States Army and was an Electrical Engineer.  He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carol H. Evans of Mt. Pleasant, SC; one daughter, June Evans Furr and her husband, Samuel, of Charleston, SC; two sons, Thomas Armstrong Evans of Washington, DC and James Bradford Evans of Daniel Island, SC; and two grandchildren, Samuel Neill Furr, Jr and Emily Rosemary Furr. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 12 21^st Avenue, Isle of Palms, SC  29451.
