Rod Travis Shearon, 50, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Monday, January 22, 2024. There will be a private prayer service at the North Charleston location on Friday, January 26, 2024 for his immediate family. After cremation, there will be a place in the Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens for family and friends to visit. There will also be a celebration of life for his family and friends to be determined at a later date. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Rod was born October 17, 1973 in West Columbia, South Carolina, son of Carolyn Benson Daubenspeck and the late George Edward Shearon. He grew up in Hartsville, SC, and eventually settled down in Mt Pleasant, SC, where he created a wonderful life for himself, surrounding himself with friends who loved him. He was loved by his friends and family and will be remembered by them fondly.
He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Benson Daubenspeck of Hartsville, SC; sister, Deidra Keckeis of Maryville, TN; sister, Georgianne Shearon of Edenton, NC; brother, Chad Shearon of Greenville, NC; girlfriend, Susan N. Lewis of Mount Pleasant, SC; and many nieces and nephews.
