Roblee Boettcher Martin

Roblee Boettcher Martin, 88, of North Charleston, SC, died Thursday, March 17, 2011, in the Life Care Center.

Born April 21, 1922 in St. Louis, MO he was one of four children of Henry William Martin and Esther Boettcher Martin.  Mr. Martin received a Masters degree in chemical engineering from Columbia University, NYC and an honorary doctorate degree.  He was a US Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Northside Baptist Church. Mr. Martin retired from Giant Cement Company as President and CEO in 1989.   

Mr. Martin is survived by his wife of 70 years, Lillian Martin; daughter, Amy Martin both of North Charleston, SC; son, Bruce Martin of Oceanside, CA.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Katherine Cicerchi.

The funeral service will be held in Northside Baptist Church, Friday, March 25, 2011, at 10:00 AM.  Interment will follow in Beaufort National Cemetery at 1:00 PM.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  Arrangements by J.
