Robert Allan Willis

Robert "Shorty" Allan Willis, Sr., 67, of North Charleston, SC, died Monday, April 4, 2011, in  Savannah, GA.

Born December 2, 1943 he was one of four children of Abraham Lincoln Willis and Ruth Smith Willis.  He was a long distance truck driver, a veteran of the US Army and also a reservist with the National Guard.

Mr. Willis is survived by his son, Robert Allan Willis, Jr. of Summerville, SC; daughter, Jeannette Perna and her husband Vince of James Island, SC; grandchildren, Camille Perna and Lily Perna; brother, Joe Lincoln Willis and his wife Donna of North Charleston, SC; sister, Pat Willis of North Charleston, SC; sister-in-law, Carol Willis of Adams Run, SC; former wife, Carolyn Kosma of North Charleston, SC; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Billy Willis.

The funeral service will be held in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, Friday, April 8, 2011 at 1:00 PM.  Interment to follow with military honors at Carolina Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel Thursday, April 7, 2011 between 7:00 and 9:00 PM.
