Robert Burney Webb, Sr., 83, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 11, 2025. The family will hold a Celebration of Life after the holidays.

Born on September 25, 1942, in Rocky Mountain, North Carolina, Bob was the son of the late Roney Elwell Webb and the late Eleanor Burney Webb. He graduated from McClenaghan High School in Florence and was a proud alumnus of the University of South Carolina. A devoted Gamecock, he spent countless football Saturdays at Williams-Brice Stadium or cheering from home.

After moving to Charleston, Bob enjoyed a long and distinguished career with State Farm Insurance, serving as an Agency Manager for more than 30 years. An avid outdoorsman, he loved spending time offshore pursuing his passion for fishing. Following his retirement, his commitment to community service continued when he was elected a councilman for Horseshoe Beach, Florida, a place he treasured.

Bob is survived by his children, Robert B. Webb, Jr., of Mount Pleasant, SC, and Melissa W. Hillen (Brian) of Mount Pleasant, SC; his stepson, Trey Loughran (Lee) of Atlanta, GA; his sister, Barbara W. Clore (Woody) of Clemmons, NC; and five cherished grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Julia Rowan, and his parents.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life after the holidays. Please check back for service arrangements.
