Robert Carl Ward

Entered into eternal rest on the morning of February 3, 2011, Robert Carl Ward, Ph.D., husband of Jan Buvinger Ward. Residence, Charleston, SC.  The relatives and friends of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Carl Ward are invited to attend the funeral services of the former in Grace Episcopal Church, Friday, February 11, 2011 at 2:00 P.M.

Dr. Ward was born May 6, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky, the son of Andrew L. Ward and Vera Klumb Ward.  He was a graduate of Bellermine University in Louisville, KY , received his Masters Degrees from Drake University and The University of Kentucky, and a Ph.D. from Virginia Tech. He was an Associate Professor at The School of Library and Information Science at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA.

He is survived by his wife of Charleston, SC; one sister: Andrea Ward Stemmle (Denis) of Stratford, CT; two brothers: William Francis Ward (Catherine) of Louisville, KY and John Richard Ward (Cynthia) Pendleton, KY; an uncle: Robert Marshall Klumb of Louisville, KY.
