Robert "Bob" Doyle Voigt

Robert “Bob” Doyle Voigt, 74, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Tina Radding, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, September 16, 2025.

Born in Gastonia, NC, and raised in nearby Dallas, Bob graduated in 1973 from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a B.S. in Accounting. He began his career with Arthur Andersen & Co., earning his CPA in 1975, and later joined Public Service Company, where he worked for 26 years in a variety of leadership roles including Chief Financial Officer and human resources. After retiring in 2001, he relocated to the Charleston area and eventually made his home on Edisto Island. Music was a constant joy throughout his life, from the rare opportunity to play the famed Mormon Tabernacle pipe organ in Salt Lake City to the many times he shared his gift as a pianist and organist.

Bob moved to Bishop Gadsden in 2021 where he and Tina met and soon married. He was an active member of the community where his kindness, service, and music touched countless lives.

He is survived by his wife, Tina; his brother, Don W. Voigt; his niece, Allison Wendy Thompson, and his nephew, Patrick Voigt; as well as the family of Tina, who became his own: son Peter Radding (Jill), daughter Nicole Radding Havert (Tim), grandchildren Trent Radding (Abby), Grant Radding (Amelia), Jordan Havert, and Anderson Havert; and great-grandchildren Rosie and Jack Radding. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Voigt and Ruth Ines Summey Voigt, and his first wife, Bonita Jean Hovis Voigt.

Memorial Service: Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Bishop Gadsden Chapel, One Bishop Gadsden Way. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc.
