Robert Samuel Shook

Robert Samuel Shook, 65, of North Charleston, SC, and former resident of Atlanta, GA, died Monday, May 17, 2010, peacefully at home. Born November 18, 1944, in Greenback, TN he was one of three children of Lee Roy Shook and Lena Ethel Clifton Shook. Sam liked to travel whether it was for work or pleasure; he enjoyed visiting other places, seeing new sights and appreciated different cultures. Sam was an artist who shared his oil paintings with family and friends. He also enjoyed cooking and was a good singer. Mr. Shook is survived by his brother, Troy Shook and his wife Marilyn of Charleston, WV; sister, Louvina Queener and her husband Lloyd of Madison, TN; niece, Carolyn Frye, her husband Tim and their son Trevor all of Charleston, WV; nephew, Scott Queener his wife Renee; and their daughter Haylee all of Jacksonville, FL and nephew, Tim Queener his wife Denise and their children Mallory and Christopher all of Nashville, TN; and best friend and partner, Charlie Zhu of North Charleston, SC. The family will receive friends in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road Saturday, May 22, 2010, from 4:00 until the funeral service begins at 5:30 PM followed by cremation. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association , 2711 Middleburg Drive, Suite 108-B, Columbia, SC 29204.
