It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert Woodrow Rogers, Jr., 88, of Charleston, SC, who entered eternal rest on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. "Bob" was born December 5, 1937 in Spartanburg, South Carolina, son of the late Robert Woodrow Rogers, Sr. and Roslee Agnes Gwinn Rogers.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Delores P. "Tootie" Rogers, and sons Robert Woodrow Rogers, III (Julie), Sean Manning Rogers (Becky), Jason Kyle Rogers (Rebecca); grandchildren Haley Caddell (Kyle), Rachael Obregon (Jon) Sarah Kennedy (Eric), Brody Rogers (Jordan), Anna Grace Rogers; six great grandchildren, Wade and Karoline Caddell, Leo and Calvin Obregon, Pearson and Woods Kennedy; and two sisters, Teka Pierce and Sharon Owens. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Bob graduated from Chicora High School and attended Clemson University and the College of Charleston. He began his professional career working in family businesses, Victory Auto Sales and the Host of America Motel. He later formed The Rogers Company, specializing in Commercial Real Estate and Development.

Bob will be remembered as a man of deep faith and great wisdom, who possessed a keen business mind and a passion for all things sports. Bob was a voracious reader who always enjoyed participating in a lively discussion. Throughout his journey of 88 years, he touched numerous lives and found immense joy in coaching his three sons and boundless other youth throughout the Charleston area, helping them develop skills of sport, but more importantly, skills for life.

Among the many milestones of his well-lived life, Bob was a Lifetime member of the Free Masons, Shriners, and the Elks, and a former President of the Charleston Inn Keepers Association.

A Graveside Service celebration of Bob's life will be held Monday, November 9, 2026 at 12:00 noon, in the Riverview Memorial Park, 3715 Azalea Drive.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made to the American Cancer Society. The family would also like to thank Family Hospice and home RN. And specifically acknowledge caretakers Maddie, Dee and Barbara... and Hospice nurse Pamela for her tender care in Bob's final moment.
