Robert "Robbie" Claud Marlowe

Robert "Robbie" Claud Marlowe, 54, of Greenville, North Carolina and Mount Pleasant, SC, passed away Monday, September 11, 2017 surrounded by his family. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017 in the Hibben United Methodist Church, 690 Coleman Boulevard at 2:00 pm. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends Friday, September 15, 2017 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road, Mt. Pleasant from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

Robbie was born November 11, 1962 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of Loy Bell Ballam and the late William Hampton Marlowe. Robbie had a twenty year career as a cardiac device sales representative most recently with Boston Scientific. He also earned a nursing degree from MUSC as well as a business degree from Charleston Southern University. Robbie had a life long passion for the water and was a certified dive instructor for Rum Runners. He was a dedicated board member of the Family Support Network of Eastern North Carolina as well as a supporter and host Dad of the Ulster Project.

He leaves his beloved wife, Cheryl Mills Marlowe of Greenville, NC; his son, William Joseph Marlowe of Raleigh, NC; daughters, Mallory Diane Marlowe of Boston, MA and Susan Kelsey Marlowe of Asheville, NC; his parents, Loy and Bert Ballam; brother, Edward Marlowe and his wife Colleen; sisters Leigh Marlowe and Elizabeth Marlowe Evans and her husband Scott, all of Mt. Pleasant, SC. He is also survived by his in laws Perry and Susan Mills; Claire and Trey Ginn and Perry and Pamela Mills. His nieces and nephews: Kimberly Petersen and her husband Chris, Daniel Ginn, Jenna Marlowe, Hunter Ginn, Hampton Marlowe, Marshall Ginn, Marlowe Moxley, Ryleigh Evans, and Elle Evans. His step-siblings, Renee Ballam, Kelly Ballam,and Bram Ballam and his wife Kathy. He was preceded in death by his father, sister-in-law, Patty Marlowe, and step-sister, Donna Ballam Gonsalves.
