Robert Jackson "Jack" Plumer, 92, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Peggy M. Powell Plumer entered into eternal rest Thursday, November 2, 2017. The family will receive friends Monday, November 6, 2017 in J. HENRY STUHR INC.,WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. His Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2017 in First Baptist Church of Charleston, 48 Meeting Street at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2017 in Elmwood Cemetery, 501 Elmwood Avenue, Columbia, SC at 2:00 p.m.
Jack was born March 26, 1925 in Columbia, SC, son of the late Eugene Jackson Plumer and Etta Crosland Plumer. He was a WWII US Army Engineering Corps veteran and retired IBM Field Engineering Specialist. Jack was a member of First Baptist Church of Charleston where he served as a Deacon and on several Church Committees.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy M. Plumer of Charleston, SC, three sons, Robert Wayne Plumer (Elaine Cunningham) of Glen Rock, NJ; Bruce Powell Plumer (Lil Nungezer Plumer) of Durham, NC, Derald G. Plumer (Abigail Jane Franklin) of NY City, NY; two grandchildren, Samuel Jackson, Benjamin Bogart both of NY City, NY.
